How To Treat Warts On Feet

I do not know how many of you have had warts on their feet but I can imagine that they are very many. This is because it is like a silent invisible monster. It just pops up on the soles of your feet like hey presto leaving you wondering what you did to deserve them and what to do to make them go away.

Planter warts are the real name for warts on feet which is what everybody calls them for obvious reasons. Warts on feet are undesirable.

Warts are not only restricted to the bottom of your feet. They can manifest in such a wide number of places. They are frequent where the skin is broken, moist and warm. The broken skin is an easy entry portal.

Warts are one of the simplest forms of skin infections one can catch. They are caused by the uncanny human papilloma virus that has about thirty seven strains to it. Warts are just one of the skin infections it is responsible for.

The problem with warts on feet is just that. They are on your feet so they are a problem. If they were on your hand you could kind of ignore them. They would not even cause you any pain, just a slight discomfort. On the feet however you keep putting pressure on them causing them to become more and more painful.

You cannot be a hundred percent protected from getting warts on your feet because there is not anything specific you can do to prevent the virus attaching to you. To make matters worse the virus is invisible so there is no marker like 'do not tread through this place'.

As warts on feet are on the soles then it is only logical to assume they got there by us stepping somewhere that the virus was laying in wait. It may take a week or even a month after this before the infection finally manifests itself as some rough patches on your feet. The only thing you can do to minimize infection risk is to wear sandals when you are around pools for example.

Warts do not really need a treatment to annihilate them. Given some time the warts on feet will simply disappear and your feet will go back to like they were never there. If however they do make you feel like you want them gone as soon as possible then you have a number of options you could utilize.

Warts on feet can be destroyed by the simple action of regularly applying some medications recommended by doctors. This medication should be relatively cheap and most do not need a prescription to be acquired.

Warts on feet can also be removed by laser surgery that will cut them straight off your skin. This is the latest method and is pretty quick and successful. It can however cause you some amount of pain of course. Other doctors can also burn them or freeze them off. These methods however leave spots all over your feet... In case you mind.

Last but not least there are those other methods of getting warts on feet gone by using things around the home. One can put their feet in warm water and then gently rub them off with a nail file they never intend to use again of course.
